colts1888
Who Dey think gone beat them Colts. Good game tonight, Colts desperately needed a win. To hold the Bengals to 16 points with 3rd string safeties and 2 starting DTS out was a surprise to me. San Diego will probably be the new flavor of the week this week. Cincy was superbowl bound and this years version of the Steelers according to ESPN last week. Guess Mark Schlareth better jump on the Charger bandwagon now cuz i think the Bengals wheels are gonna fall off next week versus Denver. muggs
Re: Who Dey Who Dey That loss is completely on Marvin Lewis' head. I absolutely hate when a coach tries to develop his game plan based only on the other team's weakness...and not his team's strengths. I understand the Colts had the league's worst ranked run D going into that game. But after the Bengals saw they weren't going to run all over them, Lewis should've went away from the original game plan and started to throw the ball...especially considering the fact that he has Palmer, CJ, Houszazillla, Henry...etc... I don't understand how Lewis gets so much credit, he's not a good coach. Do what you do best...don't try to focus on what they do worst. To me, that seems like conceeded they're the better team...weak minded. btw- Does it matter when Peyton plays like that anyway?

colts1888
Re: Who Dey Who Dey I thought the game plan was bad too. In fact all week i was more concerned with the pass then the run, despite how bad the Colts had been defending it. The Colts had 3rd string safeties out there who actually did a heck of a job. Dexter Reid help prevent a TD with a deflection in the endzone. It was nice to FINALLY see the old pass rush from this team. When they fly to the ball and hit the QB like that they are a much different D. Other then Cato June getting embarassed by Rudi Johnson in the first quarter, the tackling was a little better too. Had Indy lost that game they were done in my opinion. They need a bye desperately to help get some guys healthy.
buckbuster11
Re: Who Dey Who Dey I can't figure Cincy out. They are up and down, all over the place. One week they are running thier offense up and down the field like it's a track meet, the next it seems like they can't even get a first down. They can't be that inconsistent and think they will win the Super Bowl.

Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Who Dey Who Dey Diehard Broncos fan here. We got the win but I'm not sure we deserved it. Cinci had to try pretty hard to give that game away and it goes way beyond a botched extra point. Denver may get to the playoffs BUT I don't expect us to get very far. It would make me happy though. [/ QUOTE ] A thing called defense, or lack there of. Manning was nearly perfect, scored on every possession but 2. One was a fumble by the RB, the other was a kneel down at the end of the half. QB rating over 130, 3TD passes and no picks and he still loses. The defense made 2 stops on 3rd down all game long. TOP was brutal. After the Cincy game, i thought maybe they had corrected some of the problems, but obviously they have not. Liked seeing those wheels fall off the Bengals too, at this time it looks like Indy may face the Jets in the first round of the playoffs. Thats about the only team i think we should beat, especially in the dome. After that though they have a pretty slim chance. The D is just not there this year and i for one would love to see Tony Dungy ran out of town.
dlriggins
Re: Who Dey Who Dey As a fellow hoosier I would love to see the colts go to the superbowl unfortunately I dont think it will be this year Manning is quite possibly the best qb since Joe Montana but they play the same game week after week and in doing so it is too easy to figure out what they are doing and the defense needs to do some major restructuring and untill they can get that in line they just dont stand a chance in the playoffs because its not only how many points you put up it is equally how few you allow to be scored on you

The Colts D is so undersized it's not even funny, thats why they can never stop the run. They just get abused up front and then they get there blockers out on our small LB's. Unfortunately, i think what you will hear after this season from the FO is how injuries crippled the D. I think they will lean on that as a reason to not make major changes. While it is true that injuries have severly hurt this D, it's still not an excuse to be as bad as what they have become. I doubt Polian will fire Dungy, myabe Dungy will just step down, but again i doubt it.
