Guest cyberhoyt
I'm new to the world of Muzzleloading, I have a New T/C Omega .50 Cal. I am shooting 100 grains of Powder, with a 250 grain shockwave bullet. My question is, I have this Rifle sighted dead on at 100 yards, if I have an animal say at 40 yards, do I still hold dead on, or should I aim a bit lower. I mostly Bow hunt, so am curious as to what some of the Experts have to say. I also have the Nikon Omega Scope on the Gun. Thanks in advance! AJ
Re: Point of Impact?? Dead on. From in your face out to 120 yards you can aim dead in the center of the chest and you will hit the vitals...as long as the target is stationary. wtnhunt
Re: Point of Impact?? Yep, would hold dead on anything up close out to over a 100 yards with it sighted in at 100.
AJ
Re: Point of Impact?? In fact guestimating that you are getting about 1900 fps and have your scope mounted about 1.5" above the bore line, your numbers would be something like this: 25 yards = +0.75" 50 yards = +0.75" 75 yards = +0.75" 100 yards = 0 125 yards = -1.6" 150 yards = -4.2" These numbers are not exact but are close. You can verify them on paper and should when shooting past 150 yards.
