bbarnhart20
Re: Help With Bow... I've shot a PSE my whole life and I love their bows, myself I was lookin lately and like the PSE Mojo or Octane, I prefer longer axle-to-axle though. I'd say go to a Cabela's or something and shoot a few and see which feels best. In the end it's always what fits ur comfort, style, and price range. bbarnhart20
Re: Help With Bow... I've also looked at the Fred Bear line lately and they seem to be nice bows and not too bad pricing.
Guest Antony
Re: Help With Bow... I've shot a Hoyt for a pretty long while now and never had any problems. Never touched a PSE but I know people who love 'em. [ QUOTE ] I've also looked at the Fred Bear line lately and they seem to be nice bows and not too bad pricing. [/ QUOTE ] I am going with a Fred Bear this year. The Instinct, to be exact. I would advise you to also look at the Martin Bengal and Fred Bear Instinct. Both are in your price range. Just remember a bow is a bow is a bow, regardless of brand. Find what fits YOU the best.
Straight Shooter
Re: Help With Bow... Shoot any of them you can at the dealer and then make your decision. You don't want to just buy a bow, then get it home figure out your having a hard time shooting it because it doesn't feel right. Most bows feel go just holding them at the shop, but shooting it tells you a lot.
IN_hunter
Re: Help With Bow... Dont forget about ARs. They are very smooth shooting. Ive had one for a year now and will never buy anything else
Smitteken
Re: Help With Bow... I shoot a Pearson stealth. Their new line is fantastic. Its a top shelf bow with reasonable price and lifetime guarantee. I've recently seen the new Fred bears and they are nice too.
Washi
Re: Help With Bow... PSE has a really nice grip on their higher end bows. Hoyts grips are pretty nice on all their bows. Hoyt has better resale value. Both have great customer service. I ended up getting a Hoyt but their both nice. You might check the Reflex line too. They are made by Hoyt and I've heard every bow in the 2007 lineup is new.
Guest GameKelso
Re: Help With Bow... Mathews is comming out with a new line of mid priced bows. Mission is the name of them. I think they run from 3 something to 5 hundred. you might wont to look them over as well & the mathews FX2 is a great bow for the money as well in my opinion. PAstringking
Re: Help With Bow... i am going on my third Hoyt after christmas and love them. i wish the price wasnt so steep. to me the quality, smoothness, and (i hate to say it) the look is untouchable. but i also do suggest shooting as many as you can until you find the best one. Tony
Re: Help With Bow... been shooting Hoyts and PSEs for a long time. shot PSE for about 6 years before i shot a Hoyt. i have been shooting Hoyt for 3 years now. both companies make some great bows and i agree look at the AR bows. i was impressed when i shot Dogdocs AR in Oklahoma. look a long time before you buy. list what you want the bow to do. then buy the bow that best suits that need. if its just going to be hunting or some 3d shoots or maybe indoor target competition. a longer axle to axle bow would be best for the indoor target stuff and hardcore 3d shooting. for hunting most guys look at 32 or 33 inch bows. depending on your draw length , you might need to settle for a longer axle to axle bow. i have a 29.5 inch draw. so i like longer bows, like 36 inches axle to axle or longer. im currently shooting a Hoyt protec for hunting and Indoor target and its a great bow, both in accuracy and being very quiet. Shoot Strong Tony
Widowmaker
Re: Help With Bow... I shoot a PSE Thunderbolt and it has been a great bow. Killed a buck and a doe this year. I think that it is funny, I have friends that have very high end bows and they think that it will help them kill deer.
