Chrud Posted December 20, 2006 Report Share Posted December 20, 2006 I finally finished college this week and graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting. I’m pretty proud of myself. I’m the only one in my family with a degree. It’s been a pretty challenging 2 ½ years, but it’s been worth it. I start an internship at a CPA firm in January. I will mostly be doing tax returns. Get that experience doing taxes, learn to do basic bookkeeping, and start your own firm doing bookkeeping and taxes. You will make a fortune and never have to worry about buyouts, bosses, or being downsized, rightsized, wrongsized or fired ever again. I don't think I will go for another degree, unless someone else pays for it. Although 2 1/2 years at the tech school only ended up costing a little less than $6000.
