This will be my first muzzleloader all my tags are used up so i am in no hurry to get one but a local store has the omega in realtree camo with the thumbhole stock on sale this week for $400 that seems like a good buy to me any suggestions would be welcome thanks

I LOVE MY OMEGA.

You can not go wrong with it.

The triuph is a great looking gun & will probaly be a great gun to.

Is that a stainless barrel for that $400 price ?

I would highly recommened stainless.

I have owed both & stainless is all I will ever own in a muzzleloader again.

Cabela's has about $50 dollars off all Omega's right now plus $20 off all orders over $150 on their web site. I think that is till tommorrow.

Re: tc omega or the new triumph

My store has the rt stock stainless barrel here for 400 as well. I would probaly get the Omega. Me and alot of others on this forum shoot an Omega and it flat out gets the job done. It's an awesome shooter and very easy to use/clean. Cant go wrong for that price either.

My opinion is if your going to go with a new omega get the newest one with the 28" fluted barrel like the prohunter, I think it is called the X7 or Z7...something like that.

[/ QUOTE ]The X7 has a 24 in barrel I believe.

What is the new omega with the 28" barrel?
