Tominator
Re: Are you happy? Can't say I'm real happy. Only go to go out about 10 times. The times I did get to go out though were fun.
mandyjo62
Re: Are you happy? i got a decent mulie but didnt have too much fun, my dad makes it that way, my first year was fun but this year he expected way too much out of me and that made it no fun. the only good thing was that the last day of the season i went out towards the end of the day with him and went out coyote hunting and ended up shooting that buck that was the only good part about it. my mom thinks that hunting is a good way for my dad and i to get closer, i think its another way for us to be at eachother 24/7 and its just one big competition between us. TravisM
Re: Are you happy? I'm really happy with the way my season has gone so far. I've still got a couple weeks of bow season and a doe hunt with the shotgun. I've taken 5 deer this season which is a first for me, and 4 of those 5 were with my bow! Before this season, I've never taken more than one deer per season with my bow, so this was an excellent season for me. I was also able to take my new best bow kill buck on the same day that I took my old best bow kill buck last year! Can't complain at all. Looking forward to next season! superguide
Re: Are you happy? Mine was Stupenderifffic-superguide jr. and I got to hunt together a fair bit-we all took our biggest bucks ever. Had a short but very sweet muledeer hunt. Bigmoss came out west to hunt with us and he took a nice buck and saw some great deer. But the hilight was taking my daughter Sara out and being with her and watching her shoot her first deer-a pretty little 4x4. A few days later she filled her doe tag too-nice to see my 'girlie girl' take up hunting lol. There's no such thing as a bad deer season-just some are a bit better than others. superguide
Re: Are you happy? When I get the hunting Blah's I usually go to some new country and just go still hunting-your not sure of what's there so behind every tree is hope and adventure -your not rewally expecting success so if you have any it's that much sweeter. Saskman-Ty and I usually go on one of those exploratory hunts every fall in the Provincial forest so it's alot of fun. Try new things it never hurts and it might just turn out for the best. TCFORLIFE
Re: Are you happy? I am happy so far. I've had a better season this year than last, I shot a nice 8 pointer first day of ml, and two button bucks with the rifle. One of which was this morning. Last year only took a scrub 7 on the first day of ml. I still have little over a week to go.
centralsaskhunter
Re: Are you happy? Im very happy, got to go bowhuntign a lot, got to hunt with granpa again, saw some nice bucks, missed some shots, ended up with my first mulie buck (netted 104, embarassing really lol, a 3x4) and a mess of coyotes. I shot a chicken and a rabbit with my bow, diddnt see any bicks within my 30 yards when bowhunting, only a few does and a b unch of fawn, really happy since Im the first in my whole extended family that has bowhunted. NYBUCK
Re: Are you happy? Not happy at all. Even though I shot a 197lb 6-point with the bow and a doe with the rifle I am very disappointed. Mainly because I saw more hunters most days than deer. This wouldn't bother me too much but most of them didn't have permission to be there. I did pass alot of bucks this year but didn't not see one good racked buck. Plus I know most of the small bucks I passes were shot. NY gun season is too long and they are just too liberal with all the tags. I am definately going to look for a differnt place to hunt next year for back-up as our area is getting pounded.
