Newarcher
Okay, my wife and I were looking back at our photo albums from when the kids were little. We have a picture with the midwife who delivered both of our children with each of the children. My wife reminded me of a story. We decided on the midwives because of the high level of personal attention they give. Plus, working in a hospital, my wife knows all too well how big of jerks many of the doctors are. So anyway, I went to all of her appointments and you have to see each of the midwives because you never know which will deliver you and you don't want to meet the person delivering your baby the day you deliver your baby. Well, each time we went, the midwives got cuter and taller and better shaped...just being honest. So my wife started ribbing me about loving the midwives. We had a late appointment one day and the office closed as we left. While pulling out of the parking deck, the midwife we just had seen pulled out in front of us. My wife noticed and read the license plate surround that was on the back of her car......"Midwives make great birthdays". Well, being the joker I am, I blurted out "Well, they could sure make my birthday better". My wife first laughed really loudly, because lets face it, that was funny. Then about 2 minutes later she hit me hard in the shoulder and got mad at me. I was actually only kidding and explained to her that I only said it because she was just ribbing me about loving the midwives. She quickly got over it and now we laugh about it....I laugh loudest when I am just out of arm's length from her! New
jbeck
Re: The midwife story My friend, I can relate. Sometimes they find it funny, some times they don't. I really wish the mood rings worked, cause then we'd know how our joking will go over. LOL
Newarcher
Re: The midwife story Yeah but then you would only see the Red glow of that mood ring right before it hits you between the EYES! That are a marvelous creation, that's for sure. New
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: The midwife story What was it I remember about mood rings? Oh yeah, when she's in a good mood the stone turns a lovely shade of green, and when she's in a bad mood there's a ring shaped lump on my head that's a lovely shade of red.
