Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

i went to a local sporting goods store to shoot the bowtechs they had and the hoyts they had. i went with my uncle who was in the market for a bow. we shot the bowtech guardian, bowtech alligence 05', and a hoyt vetrix.

the 05' alligence was a great deal all set up for $425 but the sales person talked all this stuff about how hoyt warrantys are horrible. he said that bowtechs will replace anything no matter what.

anyone have any experience for either company?

Re: Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

Bowtech has Lifetime warranty on all their bows...They replaced the limbs on my Justice without question.. we thought they might be cracked because the noise after the shot was louder then normal.. i was very impressed. it turned out there wasnt a cracked in the limbs.. smirk.gif

Re: Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

getting waranty work done on a Hoyt bow is second to none. they have awesome customer service and have a lifetime waranty on there bows.

heres the copy of there waranty right from Hoyt.

HOYT COMPOUND BOW WARRANTY

All Hoyt compound bows are warranted against

defects in materials or workmanship to the original

owner on all risers, limbs, limb pockets, and

eccentrics for the life of the product.

i have never had any problems with getting any kind of waranty work done to any of my Hoyts. mainly because they havent had any problems.

i used to work for a Archery shop where we sold Hoyt bows and never did we have any problems dealing with Hoyt.

Sounds like the guy you talked to HAS NO idea what hes talking about.

actually the waranty work done by any of the top bow companies is very good. just seems that Bowtechs need more waranty work than most do. wink.gif

Re: Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

the sales guys story was that he called bowtech about cracked limbs and a bent cam on a customers bowtech. they asked how it happened and he told them straight up that the customer dry fired the bow. bowtech said please dont do that again and you new parts are in the mail.

i dont beleive that for a second.

Re: Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

I've shot Hoyts for nearly 25 years now. Twice, back when laminated limbs were the big thing, I had limbs split on older bows. Another time I cracked a riser. I'm not so sure some of the damage wasn't my fault. Anyway, in each instance, I contacted Hoyt through my local pro shop and they shipped me brand new limbs or risers. Heck, one bow was probably 5-6 years old, so I more or less ended up with a new bow out of the deal. I don't know what better warranty or customer service you could ask for than that.

Re: Warranty...Hoyt Bowtech?

i bought a hoyt rebel xt new and was putting all my accs. on it. when checking to see if the peep was right before serving the lamination on one limb split and the bow shattered. i returned to the store and they examined the bow and pulled me a new bow out of the box. not sure if this was just the store or hoyts warranty but all turned out well
