arrow32
I just got me a new camcorder and am wondering what kind of camera mounts you guys use to film with when by yourself. Ive saw some at Cabelas and just wondering if you have ever used one? This new camera i got dad cant film me saturday so i might try and get it and see what happens if i do it myself. Are they worth it? I know it will be hard to judge where you will shoot the deer to get it on the film.
wtnhunt
Re: Camera mounts Homemade here, with the exception of the top part. Got a mount from a local pro shop for a spotting scope that mounts to a car window. Can attach it to a bow hanger with the clamp, or can use it in our blind on a mount I made from some square tubing. Works out pretty well and only paid like $15 for it. Make sure you get something that will pan and tilit. Wish I had high speed to share some of the video I shot this fall. okiedog
Re: Camera mounts I bought one of the gorilla camera arms a couple of years back on closeout at Walmart. It has worked fine for me.

GWSmith
Re: Camera mounts The Gorilla Camera Mount does pretty good considering the purchase price. If your camera has the option to use a remote mic you will want to go that route...or else you will hear every pop and noise the mount makes when you try to adjust the pan/tilt. Overall I would say it's worth the money I spent for it but if I was going to try to make professional quality video I would look elsewhere. billkay
Re: Camera mounts Lone Wolf makes a great camrea arm. A bit on the pricey side, but cheaper than having to replace the camera that fell off a cheap arm.

billkay
Re: Camera mounts For a consumer camera it's great. Once you start getting to the GL2's and up, it's time for a better arm. I believe the guys at Renzos used them at one time, but switched to a heavier model made by another company. I think Scheels carries them.
