I actually know someone who did that a couple of years ago he shot an 8 point in late december, when it dropped one side fell off and when he grabbed it to drag it the other one came off as well.

Yep its the earliest i've ever found one from a fresh drop.I've heard a few reasons why he shed his antler so early.1.he may not have been in the best health and highly stressed from hunters,predators,etc.2.mature bucks drop their antlers first.3.something to do with the rut being over and something causing the antler socket to dry out and the antler drops off.Anyone ever hear the same reasons or know why they would drop their antlers so early?
