woodshed
I've seen only nocturnal movement lately. Even on my game camera. I'm in eastern MO and have a couple weeks left. I know hunting between beds and food is good. My question is what are they eating now. I have an oak stand on one side of a stream with no signs they are pawing through the leaves. I have bean fields on the other side which are obviously cleared by now. Are they eating the acorns? Do they still eat in the bean fields this time of year? I'm finding tracks but I think it's all after dark. Any help? thanks.

woodshed
Re: help me find them yes, I don't have corn on my hunting property. there is some across the expressway. They aren't getting over there though. I just haven't seen them in the bean fields lately so I don't know if I should be around them. Unless they are hitting it in darkness. wtnhunt
Re: help me find them Deer here have been pretty well nocturnal lately. Did catch a couple does in my clover this morning on my way in about an hour before sunrise. Have not seen deer feeding on acorns around here lately, but there are some still on the ground.
