NY911Bowhunter
I was curious to see; Bowhunting in Africa - Your Dream? Do you want to hunt the Dark Continent someday with the bow? Personally, I have no ambition to travel to Africa to hunt animals I do not find attractive. For my money, a Mid Western, corn fed bruiser with double drops, a big skulled blackie over bait, a big ole nastyu bugling elk, and a long bearded double gobblin boss tom is where it's at! No disresepct - Africa's just NOT MY BAG BABY!

Guest CBU93
Re: Africa JB is the man! Africa all the way! Gotta go with a rifle though. Plains game safari...I don't see how it could get any better. As far costs...when i first began investigating the possibility, the safari itself was reasonable (at the time about five years ago) but the airfare will kick your butt. hoyt19
Re: Africa My neighbor is the owner of Racing Champions Ertil, and he takes at least one African Safari each year. Although he hasnt ever used his bow, I have a thrist for it now. He and his wife take a proffesional video crew with and make a video of there safaris. I can say however if I was getting charge by a lion or a cape buffalo, Id much rather have a 375hh or a 470ne than my hoyt.

Doc
Re: Africa Killer snakes and bugs!!! How can you hunt when you don't dare take your eyes off the ground? I'll guarantee you that I would never feel comfortable there even for a moment and absolutely wouldn't enjoy even a minute of it.
