Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
A friend gave me a call this morning, Want to float the river and shoot some ducks? (The Colorado River from Palisade to Clifton, about 12 miles). It was a last minute thing well past prime hunting hours but the day was warm and sunny. We could have shot a lot of ducks but settled for one each, I was holding out for a goose or two. Anyway it was not a bad way to spend the afternoon. Thad and a greenie Note how snowy it is in western Colorado after the two huge storms thumped the Front Range. BeanMan

Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Drift Boating the Colorado OSU, The River stays open all winter so it is a magnet for waterfowl. There are probably 20,000 canada geese that winter in the Grand Valley. I won't even guess at the ducks but there are quite a few. This was the first time I've float hunted, I'd sure like to buy one of those drift boats, mostly for fly fishing. Beanman
Guest Sureshot_10
Re: Drift Boating the Colorado The way you are hunting isnt that done with out a motor and like you can not have any camo coving you or the boat? That sounds fun and congrads on the greenhead. Sureshot_10
