TKLambert
Since I have really got into managing my deer herd around here(NC), I want to look for sheds. When do you typically start looking for sheds and what do you look for besides the antler if anything? Thanks!
deershed
Re: When is to start looking? I usually start looking around the first of Jan.It's a good time to find missed sheds from last year and pick up a few early fresh sheds. The sheds will start dropping regular around mid Feb. Along with anlters anyt turtle shells I find get packed out too.
Shaun_300
Re: When is to start looking? The sheds up here are probably already dropping, I usually start to look right around this time.
Tom2008
Re: When is to start looking? If you use any kind of Trail Cameras set one up on a trail that the deer are using. You can probably get some pictures of deer with no antlers or msising one. Can give you an exact time they are starting to drop.

Turkeygirl
Re: When is to start looking? I usually don't get looking good until March because we have snowo n the ground but with this El Nino and no snow, I may be looking next month.
