Found a fresh scrape and rub

I was doing some late season ml hunting here in PA and yesterday(12/30) I found a scrape and rub that was not here a week ago, plus a few piles of fairly fresh LARGE deer droppings. Does this mean that maybe there is still some rutting activity going on? Maybe secondary rut? Anyways you can't hunt sundays in PA so monday morning I'll be sitting in my stand 20 yards from where this activity is. My stand has been here all year long and I have hunted it many times without seeing a shooter buck, just some small ones and does. The rub is not that big and was probaly made by a smaller buck, but I will be there to find out in the morning. Any input?

Re: Found a fresh scrape and rub

Could be, think after looking at some recent pics and paying attention to the tarsal coloration, that maybe we have some does that are maybe either just coming in or just going out here. Saw some fresh scrapes here last week as well. The secondary rut here should be about over.

Re: Found a fresh scrape and rub

It'd be two weeks ago now that I found a few fresh scrapes and a rub that had to been made that same morning The tree was still green and slightly wet. So, I think it's definitely a possibility the secondary rut is going on.

Something must be going on, a friend of mine saw two bucks fighting one evening a few nights ago.
