M00N
I was curious if anyone knew anywhere to get a replacement Model Seven SS stock? It doesn't have to be a Remington one as long as it fits that model, but I'd prefer another synthetic one like that's on my gun. Camo isn't necissary black is fine, too. I was looking to gather up some prices from various places. I already got prices from Cabela's and Bass Pro on them. I just was wondering if any place else online might sell these that someone knows of. I stripped the front sling eyelet out of it in the cold this past deer season and it took the threads clean out of the stock I'm pretty sure I cannot get that fixed on a synthetic stock and not have it do the same thing again. I have a heavier amount of weight on the front sling eyelet because it has a bipod on it that the sling attaches to.

TexasDeerHunter
Re: Remington Stock I think there is actually a way to inlet a nut inside the stock and thread the swivel stud into it. It would be alot cheaper than a new stock. Try Midway or Brownell's.
AJ
Re: Remington Stock [ QUOTE ] I think there is actually a way to inlet a nut inside the stock and thread the swivel stud into it. [/ QUOTE ] There is but on an injected molded stock bedding compound does not stick that well. It's because of the release agent that is used when they make the stocks. If it were a good quality fiberglass stock, it would be fine but the plastic junk from the factory is another story. I would replace it with a better quality one from Bell and Carlson or better yet McMillan.
