hoytman26
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Me personally, I'd let him grow. If he would make you happy then take him. Have you ever got a buck before?
lakemisurfer
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Last I got my first a spike, this is my 3rd year. My goal was a 6. This is new land, one that I might have a chance next year on too.
Bownarow
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Grow!! Don't shoot if it's under 130". I try and not shoot anything under 140" anymore. There are plenty of does out there if you need the meat. If you kill him now he will never become a giant.
Tom2008
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? If you know he probably has a good chance of surviving then let him grow. Where I hunt I would probably take him, because all the neighbors and everyone in my family shoot what ever comes by. He will be an awsome buck in a year or two. Guest Finn
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Shoot him if you'll be happy with him on the ground. If not, let him go and he'll be a very nice shooter next fall.
hoytman26
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? If you've already gotten a spike then let him grow. Trust me you have nothing to prove to anyone. You know you can kill deer. Hold out for a big one. Good luck!!!
whitetailkiller
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? bigger than anything i shot so i would harvest him.......head and rack on the wall and meat in the freezer!!!!!!!!
Chrud
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? I would let him walk. But, if you are happy with him and he is a good buck for your area, don't hesitate to shoot him.
Hoyt03
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Where I hunt I would def smoke him, he may be a small deer for others though. It's all about what you have on your property. He may be the best you have around.

Shaun_300
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? Like others said, if ya already got meat in the freezer I'd let him walk, if you need more meat take a doe. Give him another year or two and he'll make one heck of a mount. Guest Gooder
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? I agree with most here that I would pass and let him grow. I have in the past shot bucks of this size but my goals have changed and I now look for that 140+ deer. I also get many chances at does for meat. Mirage
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? I think he is a dandy buck and would be happy to have him within bow range good luck getting him to show during daylight hours. Its Nice to show off your buck when you get one and he is a nice buck. The real trophy in hunting for me is in the eye of the one who got the deer, I still think a doe is a nice trophy too. Im just not that good yet. i hope that I never get to the point where I can let a buck like that walk because I enjoy the way I hunt and you should too. Good luck!! and remeber practice shooting alot
PAstringking
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? if the only buck i shot before this one was a spike then i would deff take the shot. whatever makes you happy man. if this is some land that is untouched by others and you control what deer are taken off the property then i would let him grow another year. he has good genes and in about a year or so he will be a nice deer. just my .

Guest psefirestormlite
Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? I've passed up several deer that size this year. The only problem is that I only hunt 180 acres and the surrounding farms shoot whatever they see. The chances for me to see those young deer grow past three years are slim to nun. I just hope a couple of them do.
