Guest tarbaby
I am planning on getting a new laptop at the beginning of this next semester and was wanting some opinions on brands and such. I know this has prolly been posted before but I couldnt find anything. It will mainly be used for school so it will have to be able to hold a lot of papers and all that stuff. But I would like to be able to store a ton of pictures off of my trail cams and a digital from hunting and fishing trips. I have been looking at Dell because I have heard they are very dependable but would like some other suggestions from people. Thanks, Jason

M00N
Re: Laptops??? I particularly like Dell or HP laptops. I've had computers (laptops and desktops) from the following companies; HP, Toshiba, Dell, Alienware, and CyberPowerPC. My suggestion would be Dell or HP! Their support stands behind their systems and the quality of their systems are great! Two companies I had VERY BAD customer support with and quality of systems, especially laptops, were Alienware and Toshiba! I personally will never deal with either these companies again and one I'm still so angry that I wish I had the funds to sue them for the entire cost of their system back. ksdeerhunter03
Re: Laptops??? Get an apple, do yourself a favor and get a macbook, it will run windows if you really want it too, plus you have no virus issues and they are awesome with photos etc... let me know if you have questions. Brad Plus, you get like 200 bucks off for being a student.
DU_man_84
Re: Laptops??? i got a guy here that builds laptops from scratch and weve always bought from him and then every year or so i get it all updated, look into if anyone in your area that builds, they can be really nice computers, but are a little more pricey but it pays off in the long run

It's 3 years old now which is fairly old for technology. I'm going to looking for another this weekend. They all use the same parts, ie hard drives, vid cards, chip sets, etc.
arrow32
Re: Laptops??? Dell makes a some good ones. Im not sure if an extrunal(sp?) would hook up to a lab top but if they do for a 250GB one your only looking at around 90 dollars least how much i priced one not to long ago and the only my cousin just got was 100. Could put all your photos on it.

NEIOWAARCHER
Re: Laptops??? I hate to contradict, but scratch the Dell. I have had nothing but trouble with them. And there service isn't that great. I also understand that they make larg contributions to Anti-hunting Org's. Anyway go with a Gateway or HP. Much better products.
