slughunter
So my brother got a job offer in New York City that he couldent turn down, its making reasonable money and all his housing and transportation are included. But he is planning on staying out there fror atleast 4 years which Kinda stinks becasue over the last few years me and my 2 older brothers have become very close and now im bummed that one is gone. Plus it doesnt help that he is in NYC, which can be a dangerous place in my opinion. He packed up last night and headed out this morning at 2am on an airplane. And even thought I can still email him and call him it wont be the same. I will defenitly miss him a lot. -shane
buckee
Re: Kinda Bummed out That's too bad Shane. Part of life though buddy. I know it isn't easy. Try your best to stay close, even though you're so far apart. I am the only member of my family that lives out west. The rest are all back east. I'm still really close to one of my sisters, but the rest of the family has really drifted apart over the years. Make the effort to stay close buddy. Tom2008
Re: Kinda Bummed out Sorry to hear Shane. Just keep in touch and you'll make it through just fine. I know how you feel having someone close live so far away. Just remember all the good times with your brother. That should help keep some good thoughts in your mind. Randy
Re: Kinda Bummed out I'm sure it was a hard choice for your brother to make, he will miss you just as much i'm sure. Keep in close contact with him via e-mail or the phone. You never know maybe he'll find some good hunting spots for ya and you can do a out-of-state hunt with him. Keep your head up buddy. Just remember everything happens for a reason.
arrow32
Re: Kinda Bummed out Sorry to hear shane. Has to be pretty hard on the both of you. Keep in contact with him. preacherman
Re: Kinda Bummed out I know how you feel man! Except it is with me and my whole family. I moved away from home at age 18 and haven't been real close since. I do get the privilege to go home about every 3 months; but it still can be hard. My advice to you..........call him everyday. Don't lose that contact. I try to make it a practice to talk to my parents at least twice a day. And then when you can, see him. He will appreciate the contact as much as you will. Keep your chin up. HarvDog
Re: Kinda Bummed out [ QUOTE ] Plus it doesnt help that he is in NYC, which can be a dangerous place in my opinion. [/ QUOTE ] What part of NYC? I think there is a misconception that every place in the city is dangerous and, to be honest, there are many places that are no more dangerous than any other suburb. I know the distance will be tough though. However, maybe this will give you an opportunity to visit New York!
