wtnhunt
I bought a 98 model extended cab 3/4 ton chevy 4 wd pickup off e-bay, but had the opportunity to pay when I got there to see it. Got the truck for about $3000 less than I could find the same truck for around here. If the seller is legit, they will not hold you to paying up front and will let you bring a cashiers check with you or they can verify you do in fact have the funds without you actually paying. Would make sure and ask a lot of questions before making any commitments.
texastrophies
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! Be bary bary bary careful. lol I have seen and heard of a bunch of atv's that were listed on ebay that were actual scams. Have not heard of any cars or trucks, tho I am sure there have been. It would be best if you or someone you know could check out the vehicle first. Maybe someone from on here could do it, if it is close to them and not close to you. Good luck in your purchase. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! I know a guy who bought a 1969 Camaro off E-bay and he was happy with it. I was wary of such a deal seeing he paid big bucks for it. I would check the person's history and if it checks out go for it. If you know anyone who goes to car auctions there are deals to be had there as well. Lou
Guest DJR
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! I know of a cuople guy who were looking at bikes from E-bay and there are a lot of scams!!! research it before you buy it. A lot of the scams were from overseas with US P.O. OJR
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! I think I would wait and look for something that is in the local area. I have sold a lot of items on eBay and sold a bass boat for a friend of mine. Don't think I would buy anything big there!
dg
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! I bought a 93 Ranger with 97K miles last spring. The truck was tight, did not use oil, and ran awesome. It was a great truck, until my 17 year-old had a fight with a phone pole.

wtnhunt
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! You can also get the vin number from the seller and run a carfax report if you think you are going to be serious about buying. It does not cost much. Jeramie
Re: Purchasing vehicles on Ebay?!?! [ QUOTE ] I cant see buying a vehicle over Ebay! [/ QUOTE ] Nor could I. I know people do it all the time though. On guy I know buys sports cars from Ebay. He has two identical cars (Other then Color) that he bought on line. Craziness, just craziness. I wouldn't spend more then a couple hundred dollars on line. You can never tell who is sitting on the opposite end of the World Wide Web.
