The temp has been pretty mild for winter ( today was around 50 F ), but I tell ya, I can sure feel the difference on the floors and the basement is toasty warm. Grandma's house is heated by a wood furnace that will take blocks 3 foot long by 3 foot wide and the house is the warmest it has ever been. (have a very pretty Ashley now..LOL) They sure do a good job, but I went to an outside boiler when I built my house. The ashes and wood mess was a pain in the neck.
