Sam16
Re: Maybe next time..... I hunted in one place where people dirtbiked... man that was horrible.. the guy a couple of times rode his bike at my decoy to chase it, little did he know, lol. Another urban spot i hunted was right near a plane landing strip. It also had dogs and such... My dad shot a nice 10 pt from that spot though... O well... Keep at it, its better to hear those noises from a treestand then from a car stuck in traffic like me or at school. Hahaha, cherish ur time out there.. I know its tough though. mainebuck
Re: Maybe next time..... Hey Jim I know it's a little farther for you but you should check out the Auburn zone rather than the coastal one. While a lot of it is noisy and close quarters like you describe I've found a couple spots that are on the outskirts of the zone and are pretty secluded. One thing I haven't run into yet during the expanded season is another hunter. Some of these spots you have to get in and get the job done early b/c come November the rifle hunters will be tromping around all over the place. I think the post-rifle hunt portion of the expanded season is going to be some good hunting.
buckee
Re: Maybe next time..... Don't you just love it though, when the neighbourhood dogs start barking in the evening to asure you that the deer are starting to move around.
