Re: RT Camera Club

I believe from the way billkay posted it he means to interpret that saying how you desire and be creative on how to depict it in a photograph. In other words use your imagination and if the picture fits “Plain As Day” to you then it should fit this month’s submissions. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, though. wink.gif

Re: RT Camera Club

Also maybe we can get billkay and need2hunt to add a set of guidelines to the sticky post for this each month? Like a link back to this post, maybe something saying the pictures have to be taken by the person submitting them (prevent copyright infringement), encouraging people to post camera stats if they know them and enhancement stats on the picture (IE: I lightened the picture with software), the rule about one photo out of the allowed two having to be taken during that month, maximum photo size in pixels (prevent post lag), etc. Just an idea. wink.gif

I don't think we all need to get too technical! This is no contest! Just have fun with it and post some pics! This sounds like a great way to get more people involved with their camera! But having a certain size will help out the people who are on dail-up!

I was suggesting this to prevent tons of questions in that sticky post because people don't realize it's being discussed in this post. Plus once this post gets really big it would be nice to have the basic requests that were made from the members and mods (size of photos, two submissions max per month, one having to be actually taken this month, etc.) laid out somewhere easily found.

Re: RT Camera Club

There won't be a ton of questions in the sticky post. There is already a link to this thread. I'm not shy about deleting posts either. Have some faith. There won't be any judging or prizes. Hopefully though it will begin some discussion on how a person interpeted the theme, or shot the pic. It's al about learning and sharing. If you know all the specs about the photo, great, post it. If you don't, just the type of camera will work. In a few months, if this has some regular participation, we'll do a cool experiment. I'm guessing that after looking at each others pics for a while, you'll be able to identify the photog by the style of the photo. Bet me...LOL

There won't be any additional sub-forums at this point. Sorry.

But see that is where this can come in and help others learn! I know I dont know as much as Billkay, but I can help to a point! You never stop learning! By posting some pics and with the people who know what their doing and giving there info will help others learn! For those that just like to take pics and post without knowing all the data, is cool too!!! Just get out and start snapping away! But remember to keep them at a reasonable size!!!

I like this idea! Shows, dont it! LOL! blush.gif
