EKYhunter
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today Great looking setup Tedicast. I've got an XT ordered and it should be here this week. Can you tell me if that Winn Free Flight release your shooting is the model made specifically for a loop or is it the standard head design? I have the standard head model and never tried it with a loop. Thanks!
tedicast
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today The Free Flight is a loop model. It is pretty much the only release I have ever used. The one in the pic is 11 years old. I have a newer one that is my hunting only release

Thanks for the warning [/ QUOTE ] I agree, it really is annoying when people seem to know everything about bows they've either never shot, or can't prove that what they're saying is true. From what I can see, Matthews makes great bows and haven't heard a complaint about their customer service. Anyway, Nice set-up and congrats on the new bow! [/ QUOTE ] You know, it's always good to have FACTS before you just start spreading rumors. Just because someone knew a guy, that knows a guy that use to shoot with this guy, and he said that they are blowing up everywhere.... that doesn't make it true. The only actualy confirmed picture with a breakage was due to the bo wbeing pressed wrong, and magically that bow hasn't even been turned in to Mathews for warranty work yet, hmmmmm. craig mack
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today I noticed that when your at full draw there is a gap between the limb and riser. Whats the deal with that? And also how is it as far as being quiet and hows the vibration? Its an awesome looking bow. Congrats

Congrats [/ QUOTE ] That gap is because he's shooting a 70lb bow turned down to 63lbs. That gap is in all bows when the poundage is turned down. Becuase of the lack of limb pockets on the Drenalin the gap is visible. Check out the link below. It is a slowmo pic of a Drenalin being fired with the limb backed out that was done by Mathews' R&D. You can see that there is no movement in the limb at the shot. http://forums.mathewsinc.com/viewtopic.php?t=47861

Whats the deal with that? And also how is it as far as being quiet and hows the vibration? Its an awesome looking bow. Congrats [/ QUOTE ] craig... the gap between the limb and the riser is the result of a 70 pound bow, being shot at 64 pounds. All bows that are shot at less then max have that, they are just hidden by the limb pocket. Mathews did away with the limb pockets on the Drenalin. when I shot the Drenalin against the Switchback XT. side by side. I noticed quite a bit more vibration in the Dren. both were bare bows. I still liked the way the Dren felt, so I bought it.When i got her all rigged up. limbsavers, a MeanV CSS, S-Coil stabalizer, the hand shock was gone. The bow is a pleasure to shoot. As for the noise, I was at an indoor 3D shoot last Sunday. 2 of the guys shooting with me, one a Switchback shooter, and the other a bowTech Old Glory shooter were amazed at the quietness of the bow. They both had their backs turned when I shot, and they said they barely heard the bow go off. I'm thinking if it is that quiet inside, it will be really quiet outside. All in all I'm tickled with my new bow
craig mack
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today Thanks for the info. I'll probably go to my pro shop soon to shoot one. I have to be carefull though, I did that last year and bought a XT when I really didnt need a new bow (had a Legacy). I figured it would be quiet, Mathews are always good for that. Congrats again and I bet you cant wait to take your first deer with it.
tedicast
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today yeah...be carefull...lol. I went to the shop with my mind made up that I would like the XT better, and planned on buying an XT...you see how that turned out.
OUTSIDER
Re: Got The Drenalin Set-Up Today I shot one the other day, i was very dissapointed. It was loud and had hand shock. My switchback xt is much quieter, and almost no shock. Good luck with yours.
