Guest ohiohunter
hi all. newbie to the forum. i am planning a hunt to geralton, ontario this august for black bear. i am in need of a good scent control suit for this hunt as my current woodland camo is old and frankly doesn't work all that well. i have never been around that area before so i don't know what camo pattern would work best. in my neck of the woods realtree hardwoods is probably the best camo going. i figured something with more green maybe? like realtree hardwoods green? i would like a pattern that would work for canada and ohio, but if it isn't possible i am not above buying two suits. what do you all think? [/ QUOTE ] I'll agree with that. Get a camo pattern you like you can use at home in a scent control clothing. It will probably be warm with lots of bugs. so take that into consideration when you buy! As said before sitting quiet will be your number one priority and then scent! Good luck, let us know what you buy and how the hunt goes! double_H
Re: question on camo pattern i have a scent-lok suit with 3d (realtree) camo i really like. the 3d effect makes it work in more situations. if your buying scentless remember the carbon suits need to be re-activated. i also have a silver fibre base suit but these are mainly for dealing with ammonias etc. that you body generates. I would venture to say that scent-lok or scent sheild is what you want. as for pattern, buy something light you can put underwear underneath, or a different pattern over. good luck with the bruins! Canadian_Goose
Re: question on camo pattern Bugs Bugs and more Bugs... just keep that in mind... the misquitos are viscious... here in manitoba at least.
Shaun_300
Re: question on camo pattern Either Hardwoods or Hardwoods Green works well up here. Like others said it doesn't really matter, you could dress up in blaze orange, they won't spot the colour. Welcome to the forums by the way. duckslayer
Re: question on camo pattern i wouldn't worry about the camo pattern, but bears smell and hear very well, sit still and be quiet.
