Turkeygirl
Well since I want to switch to 100 grain broadheads, I am planningo n ordering some 100 grain field points from Cabelas with my order. Well they list like 3-4 different outside diameter sizes? What is up with that and how do I know what diameter to get? All I know is I want 100 grain. Should I look at the 125 grain field points I have on right now and try to figure it out? Thanks for the help!

tedicast
Re: Field points size... The diameter of the Beeman ICS's is 19/64" That is the same as my Carbon Express 3D Selects. I shoot a 5/16 field point just because they are easier to find. It is 1/64" over the diameter of the arrow, but you can't even tell. There are 19/64" field points available, but I never find them in the stores. They can be found easily through mail order.
Turkeygirl
Re: Field points size... Ok, thanks Tedicast! I believe Cabela's has the 19/64" field points so if that is the right size I should get I'll order them from there:)
tedicast
Re: Field points size... According to the info in the Keystone Country Store Catalog, thats what you need.
maytom
Re: Field points size... If you shoot into a lot of 3-D targets, the larger diameter field points will be a bear to pull out of the foam targets, besides wrecking them in the process!! So by all means, try to match your arrow diameter at all times!!
