rad_112176
Re: Illinois Sheds [ QUOTE ] Were you driving deer with archery equipment? Never done it , how does it work out for you? [/ QUOTE ] Bonehuntr, We just did a deer drive with archery equipment at my Dad's property in MI when i was up there for Christmas. I was the only sitter and I shot 1 doe. Tried to drive it the next day, but the weather wasn't good for it. Just be ready to pull back at the first glimpse of a ear or anything. It helps to roll a foam ball across the ground to help practice moving shots. Try it out. It can be a rush.

Mach1
Re: Illinois Sheds That is surprising considering the weather we've had shouldn't be causing them much physical stress. Looks like that might change this weekend however.
brownie65
Re: Illinois Sheds There are a bunch being found here. I haven't found any yet but a friend has found 20 so far. I did find a dead buck yesterday that had already shed his antlers.

brownie65
Re: Illinois Sheds I saw several bucks over the past weekend that still had both antlers. A friend of mine found a couple of sheds Friday while hunting the antlerless season. I think the November weather & foot of snow was pretty hard on them. The ice storm we have been having the past few days might cause a few more to start dropping. I think I am going to start looking a little now that deer season is over
Guest realtrhunter
Re: Illinois Sheds I take it that you all are up in Northern Illinois. I am still seeing full racks here in Southern Illinois. Maybe the 1-3" of snow we are suppose to get on Sunday will give them enough stress..... doubt it. IowaDeerHunter
Re: Illinois Sheds Not sure if you read yet or not, but there is a new rule in the shed forum: You are not allowed to poast that you found sheds without pictures of them! LOL ;grin:
