Guest deadeye270
Re: Food plot-timing We did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Youre rye will be coming up in 3-4 days and the plot will be NICE in about 3weeks
WestKyTeacher
Re: Food plot-timing The same goes for us. We planted some food plots two weekends ago, another last weekend, and finished up a third Sunday just before the day and a half soaking rain set in. The first two food plots were not doing very well, but I have a feeling all of them should take off now. Mixtures of wheat, ladino clovers, rape, kale, greens, turnips, and mustard. We decided to try different things this year to see which the deer prefer. I'll try to let you all know how the season goes.
WestKyTeacher
Re: Food plot-timing We hunt in Muhlenberg Co. just a county between us. I don't have any pics yet, but I am planning on going out there this weekend and getting a few. Then I'll have to find out how to put them on here. I do have a digital camera, but have never tried to put any pics on my computer yet. A couple of our plots are hidden, but one you can see from a distance and I bet the wheat has grown 3-4 inches since this past rain.
