is that real?

Oh it's real alright....there were several other photos in the email I got, but didn't have time to post them all and some weren't great anyway. One shows a railroad worker climbing up on the car to I guess try to get the doe to jump down. I will try to get more info on her eventual fate. A lot of deer get killed on the interstate in this location and she was "fortunate" enough to land safely - all be it quite a ways off the ground.

Interesting pics. Seriously doubt the deer jumped off that bridge onto the train if the pics are in fact real.

On my screen, looks like I see a halo or lines around the outside of the deers body possibly indicating it has been chopped, maybe it is just my eyes or my screen.

Re: Goofy Mule Deer

Pretty interesting situation and footage. You don't see that every day.

We've had a few deer jump into those cattle shoots they use for construction on the major highways then they'd panic and jump over the other side which normally was a big drop to the ground. Seen a few deer die that way during the trip to our cabin or back during the various deer seasons. Normally don't see them do that too often out of season or out of rut, though. crazy.gif I bet if someone scaled down the sheer cliff on the one side they'd find a slew of skulls and deer bones down there and some antlers, too.
