wtnhunt
Heard this morning about protests going on by illegals at a college somewhere. Tried to find the story online, but had no luck. Some illegal college students are complaining that they are not getting scholarships, grants, and loans and etc. equivalent to that of legal residents of this country. I cannot help but wonder how some of our democratic lawmakers are going to deal with the growing complaints by illegal immigrants. I just dont get why people want to come here if they dont like the opportunities and they want to complain.

Guest michael_bolton
Re: Illegals in colleges In the name of tolerance we have been forced to accept a lot of crap. Pure and simple, if you do not like it here and aren't supposed to be here, then go back to your home country. I was taught during some time spent in Brazil a few years ago that you have to adjust to the customs of the country and respect its citizens. Also if you didn't have a temporary id with you at all times they could legally lock you up or deport you.

Dont know why the authorities dont do just that.
Guest michael_bolton
Re: Illegals in colleges Quite simple, first people in high positions benefit from them, and second, they don't have the resources to keep sending them back and them finding their way back in. There has to be a more permanent solution but I have yet to hear one from any group, including any pro-immigration groups. A wall will not keep them all out, the solution might eventually have something to do with analyzing Canada and their lack of walls. Why don't they immigrate here illegally like our friends from the south? Well, because their country has a future and takes care of them. Unless Mexico and the other latin american countries come up with some solution to solve their own problems we can't solve theirs AND our own. That's my two cents..... But other cultures can come here to OUR COUNTRY and once again we have to blend into their culture or be tolerant of their culture here in AMERICA. I'm sick of it. Period. If you are going to come here, do it legally first off, obtain a LEGAL social security number, and finally LEARN SOME ENGLISH. This is AMERICA, we don't speak Spanish, French, Dutch, or anything else....we speak English. OK I'm done, sorry for the rant.
Guest michael_bolton
Re: Illegals in colleges My thoughts exactly. Everyone expects things to be handed to them these days, no race is exempt from this type of laziness.
Canadian_Goose
Re: Illegals in colleges Micheal I think your analysis of the problem and solution of Mexican immigration is very accurate. I posted a similar thread months back. It's unfortunate the people in power don't have the means to deal with this.
dg
Re: Illegals in colleges I heard we are helping Iraqi's get educated but I haven't confirmed that. Are Americans laid off getting educational assistance? Just asking........

stevebeilgard
Re: Illegals in colleges i think they are right to ask. why not. we give them everythig else, and being illegal seems to be a badge of honor
wtnhunt
Re: Illegals in colleges Really honestly dont know why the colleges are accepting illegals in the first place. If they quit accepting them all together, this complaint about not getting equal opportunities might not exist. Of course that would lead to other complaints. Seriously, I heard a report that armed men from the other side of the border attacked our troops on guard, our troops there couldn't fire back and had to retreat, something about not having authority to combat illegals. Interesting though, they are there to only build fence, guard it and perform administrative duties but can't really enforce the law. http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0105BorderAttack05-ON.html Scratch this idea as working. The problem now is how to convince illegals that they don't want to leave their countries, and for all you that have left the states and seen latin america, we all know which country is better.
