Guest johndeer44
Guys, I live in Ohio and have been bowhunting for years. I really want to try 3d I'm just nervous about the initial first time going. What can I expect? Lenght of shots? I've heard they have a hunters class and that sounds like it would fit me perfect. MCH
Re: New to 3d and questions Not to confuse you john, but sometimes the distance changes from course to course. But if you're going to shoot hunter class, you can almost rule out anything past 40. The best advice is to walk up to someone at the shoot and start talking to them. You'll be paired up with other shooters so you won't be alone. And if you're worried about embarrassing yourself, don't be. Every shooter there has been in your shoes once before. But let me warn you, 3-D is very addicting. Be prepared to shell out a lot of money in the upcoming year....
struttinhoyt
Re: New to 3d and questions Kevin pretty much went over it all...... Just get up there and just think of it as shooting as you would in your backyard..... Dont worry about your score the first couple of shoots because its all going to be new to you...... I was definatly nervous on my first shoot..... but about half way through the shoot I was so addicted that I was trying to make plans for the next shoot....... Tony
Re: New to 3d and questions John since Ohio is IBO country. you would be best shooting in Hunter Class ( HC). this class does not have shots further than 35 yards for it. which makes it very common choice for new 3ders to shoot with there hunting setups. i also agree do NOT worry about your score or your shooting. get with a group that realizes your a new shooter and they will be more than happy to help you along. practice range estimation as much as your shooting and just have fun. Pinwheel5
Re: New to 3d and questions Same as above. I went to my first 3-d by myself and met some great people there, some of which I still shoot with, and that was 8 years ago. As Michael Jordan would say, just do it.
