Jeramie
I just setup a deal to head to Wyoming! A guy I work with goes just south of Casper every September to hunt Speed Goat and Mulies. He asked a bunch of us in the office to go. I asked my wife and to my surprise she said, "Go For It!" We will leave on a Saturday and get home roughly a week later! I know we are after doe speed goats and ground hogs. What else can I hunt and how hard is it to get into a buck tag (pronghorn or Mulie)? He thought it was next to impossible because we are hunting public land. I need all the info I can get gang! Updates will follow as we work stuff out. Shaun_300
Re: Wyoming Baby! That's awesome Jeramie! Wyoming is one of my dream hunt destinations, thinking about setting something up for Dad's 50th birthday in 2009.

Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Wyoming Baby! You still should beable to get buck tags. Visit the WY fish & game web's site. Antelope tags are due at the end of March-----deer I'm not sure of. Elk are due the end of January. Find out where the ranch is---that way you can find out which management unit it is. Fish & Game should beable to answer your questions. CB
Tecumseh
Re: Wyoming Baby! That sounds like a blast I'm building up preference points for Antelope and cant wait to build enough up to go after one. Call the Wyoming Fish and Game headquarters to start and get some numbers for wildlife biologist for that area and ask questions. When I first started hunting in Colorado and Montana I would spend at least two nights a week on the internet and on the phone getting information talk to who ever you think can be of help to you and it will all pay off in the long run. Jeramie
Re: Wyoming Baby! Ok Gang.... Here is what ive found out and I could still use a handful of details.... We are going to be around Laramie hunting around the Medicine bowl area. Public land and the three units they have hunted in the past are 28, 41, and 42. Depending on what we are able to hunt and or put in for will determine where we actually end up. We are ordering the tags in July so we dont have any problems once we get there. So now the total decision is based on what we can and can not hunt... We are looking to hunt any big game animal (to bad its to late for elk). Mule deer (bucks especially), antelope (bucks too), etc. I could use some help from the locals! Ive went through the website and honestly I get lost pretty easily apparently. I couldn't figure anything out.... Thanks gang....

Jeramie
Re: Wyoming Baby! Yesterday they buttoned everything down while I was out sick. We are officially heading to Unit 48 around Shirley basin. The guy putting this together called around and that is what he settled on. Unfortunately, as far as he knew it was a 1/10,000 chance of drawing a buck tag. Now Ive got to get on the Wyo's website and see just what we can and cant hunt and what the real odd of everything are.... If anyone has any further information Id appreciate it LOADS. WaCoyote
Re: Wyoming Baby! I just got off the phone with them myself. We'll be applying for Antelope possibly deer. I hear some people say it's super easy to draw an antelope tag and others who wait several years. Geuss I'll find out soon enough. I too am interested in what else we can legally hunt. Thought we'd call coyotes while we're there if it's legal to do so. Some states don't allow yote hunting during big game seasons.
