Guest Finn
Good morning, ladies. I've got a somewhat serious question for you all. Why are men supposed to put the lid down for you? For the life of me, I don't understand why a woman would admit she's not able to lower the lid when she needs it. I'm able to detect it being up, then lower it when I need it in that position. Thanks, and have a great day.
Turkeygirl
Re: why is it? Umm so we don't have to touch it. And it's just proper manner and etiquette. We have to sit, you guys don't,lol. And it's just an inconvenience to have to put a lid down after a guy used a toilet. I guess that's my thoughts on the matter, lol! Interesting question......lmbo

M00N
Re: why is it? Everyone man or woman in this house is expected to put not just the seat down, but the lid, too. Keep those germs in the toilet as much as possible and keep the dog from wanting a drink from the toilet.

unioncountyslayer
Re: why is it? Because when your wife gets up in the middle of the night to use the toilet, and the seat is left up, and she about falls in, you're gonna hear about it. Not that I would know, just a theory. wtnhunt
Re: why is it? Habit here to put the seat and lid down, always has been since I was a kid. Had two little sisters growing up, guess that helped me get in the habit. Really dont see it as a big deal.
Guest Finn
Re: why is it? My wife and daughter don't worry about this, but when I was home for Christmas, heard it a couple times. Honestly, I don't pay any attention if I put it down or leave it up. Figure whoever uses it should be capable enough to lower or lift, as appropriate. Canadian_Goose
Re: why is it? So we are supposed to feel bad for women when they fail to lower the lid and fall into the toilet, where as if a man was to fail to lift the lid and urinate all over the toilet, he would get more tyhan an earful... guess what I'm trying to say is... double standard!
