Re: Does the wife and kids eat venison too???

My wife and I eat it all the time. My youngest son doesn't like it because his wife won't eat it! He is some kind of wimp when it comes to saying anything to her! My oldest son will eat it all the time!

Now that buffalo I shot, that is some fine eating!!!

My mom used to think all the money I spent on hunting was wasted, but she loves all the meat on hand!!! Doesn't make very good meatloaf, because it is dry and somewhat bland, but it goes in just about everything else!! Spaghetti, tacos, stew, chili, etc. She is wanting me to get more!!! grin.gif Therefore, it is my duty to hunt! cool.gif

Funny thing... my wife and two kids just enjoyed my last package of tenderloins two nights ago for supper...while I was working. frown.gifconfused.gifblush.gifgrin.gif

Its rare that the tenderloins for any deer we process even make it into the freezer. They normally get cooked the night we butcher the deer! Now I'm getting hungry!

Oh yeah, my kids were raised on it. Wife loves it too. We eat venison at least two nights a week in some form or another. Last year was a real bad year, my wife kept telling me when I bought the new Outback this year that I had better put more meat on the table than last year. Subtle hints !!!!! One more thing, my youngest, who is now 18, loves the heart. Her and I will sit down and eat one all by ourselves and devour it. She comes home today and I have a couple saved for her.

Same thing here....I can't remember our tenderloins even getting wrapped let alone frozen. I am the "wife", and I grew up eating venison and now that i have a family of my own we all eat it regularly. Both my boys had teeth by 3 months old and were eating little peices of venison by 4 months old (don't tell the doctor!LOL).
