mitrrophybowhunter
Hi guys, Just wanted to show off my Euro Mount. I used the Kit from Cabela's, I believe it was $54.99 and worth every penny. Judge for yourself. This guy was shot up in Houghton Lake with my Mathews at 8 yards. Here is my Oakland County kill a few years back........again with the Mathews...12 yards

That's a nice looking mount you did. How long did it take? [/ QUOTE ] To clarify I only did the Euro mount. My dad's buddy did the shoulder mount. The Euro mount took me about 4 days. One to boil and clean off the skull. Another day sanding it lightly with 80 grit sand paper. Then belaching it with the kit and then a light spray of Kilz and then screwed it on. KEY POINT. to screw it on I put bondo in the brain cavity to screw into. As well I put bondo in the nasal area and sanded it down. This is due to the thin bone and the lack of areas to screw into. Bow and Rifle hunt up there, the herd has become very small in the last 5 years hasn't it?
brownie65
Re: Finished European Mount Looks very nice. Came out really white. Good job. I did notice that the end of the nose bones are missing. Did they break off or did you just take them off. Only reason I noticed is the board was longer than the skull & I turned & looked at my boys & noticed it was missing the end. Looks great though. I am sure you have now seen the high fence hunting area over there. It hurt our property for a while casue the deer used to come off that high ground down in the swamp to us
