okbowman
Re: AMERICA\'S TEAM\'S NEW DIGS! the place they've been playing in is well over 30 years old. The new stadium is awesome and its in Arlington, I was bred, born and raised right there!! Used to go to church about a block from where the new stadium is gonna be. That place is gonna be state of the art!!

I'm pretty sure the Packers aren't building a new stadium Does anyone else think listening to Jerry Jones talk is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard? Tx Stadium is pretty nice, and has some of the Cowboys best memories in it. Lambeau is turning 50 this year, and Soldier field is over 80 years old. Both of these stadiums are State of the Art due to recent remodels(granted, Soldier field looks like crap now), and didn't cost close to what this new stadium is gonna cost. IMO, it's a HUGE waste of taxpayers money, when remodeling the stadium would work for a fraction of the cost, and last another 30 years. jdickey
Re: AMERICA\'S TEAM\'S NEW DIGS! The "age" of Texas Stadium was not a real issue.... no way to physically expand that stadium; it had already been done. There's a long list of cities that built new stadiums that had them that were the same age. I bought stadium bonds when it was originally built and went to the first game, got there just in time to see Thomas Henderson run back the opening kickoff for a touch down. Texas Stadium is the hottest most uncomfortable stadium in which to watch a game. No breeze, and certainly no A/C... and for the first few years.... NO BEER! The City of Arlington passed the bonds to build the stadium; work started in earnest when the last family held out for $2.5 million for their property that was worth only $50,000! Question is..... will they still be the DALLAS Cowboys, being in Arlington - like the TEXAS Rangers!
