IowaDeerHunter
Re: Not what you like to see. [ QUOTE ] I really think it is one of 2 things. You can tell the deer was hung with a deer hook by the holes in its tarsal gland area. So the deer was hung then the hunter either left it too long or didn't want it so he got rid of it, or someone stole it from a hunter and just wanted the rack. Either way it is a terrible thing to waste a deer like that. Don't understand people sometimes. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I did forget to point that out there is slits in the back of the leg. Unless that is what they used to drag it out. Sometimes people cuts slits to put there hand in for a better grip.
Hoyt03
Re: Not what you like to see. Maybe someone shot it gutted it took it home to hang etc then it got too warm and spoiled on them so they took the rack and ditched the deer. Or poached and they were going to eat it but something made them ditch it. Or shjot it and didnt find until a few days later and were going to try and keep it but wasn't desirable enough. Ravin R10 man
Re: Not what you like to see. I wouldnt assume anybody killed it...they may have done what we all would have done...come across a dead buck and take the rack...any other guess is just that..a guess
