It came complete and finished in a very nice satin finish. They do say that some minor fitting may be needed but that is likely on most aftermarket stocks, especially wood. You can show him by pointing him to their web site. They may not have a finished one in stock, but they do offer them. When I bought my Howa I bought just the barreled action and purchased the Boyd stock seperately. It was cheaper since I bought a few stocks at the same time and I was a member of the American Gunsmithing Assoc, so we got a discount.
