Strut10
Re: apple trees Dunno if they will grow or not. Good possibility that even if they do grow, they will not produce. Probably hybridized or something. Apple seeds will sprout if you seed them outdoors in late fall and let them sit over the winter. Still don't know what they'd produce, if anything. LETMGROW
Re: apple trees Don't know what to tell you except it didn't work for me. Darned things will sprout in the wild but with all my care they never sprouted! Gave up. Am going to buy some with a guarantee!
wtnhunt
Re: apple trees Was planning to plant some apple trees here this year in the late fall to early winter. Kind of wondering if it is too late.

wtnhunt
Re: apple trees Depending on where you are apple trees can be pretty tough to maintain. Here they are quite prone to fungus and other potential problems. I have not had much luck with them, but am going to try one last time to plant some here this winter. They will need fertilizer, would suggest talking with a nursery in your area to find out what types of trees do best where you are and what type of maintenance will be required.
