Guest jereseyhunter101
I was just wondering if any of you on here hunt in new jersey and are you going to hunt the winter bow season that starts january 1st? I will be hunting . And will you be hunting over bait? I probably will throw some corn out. It usually has a good effect this time of the year because there isnt much food around. And do you usually have any luck.

njbowhntr
Re: new jersey bowhunters I will be out there. I will be out with the bow in zone 10. I have my muzzleloader for zone 8, but I am losing alot of my land there. But yes, I will be out there all bundled up. I will also be putting out some corn from time to time. I really do not need it in the fields that I hunt, but it is nice to get them to stop in front of me as they are heading out to the field. Good luck

ruttinbuc
Re: new jersey bowhunters I'll be hunting in zone 7. I don't bait with corn in the fall for the same reasons gsabo mentions. I sometimes scatter corn and apples in the winter season. Makes the deer move a bit to look for the feed and keep the attention off of you. It depends on how cold it gets before I'll bait. They need to feed to keep warm.
