Guest alex30808
Here ya go...This is the very first Wormy Chestnut I've ever turned...this stuff turned like warm butter!!! I was a little unsure about the tone I was going to get from the calls simply because of the light weight of the stock. So...turned the slate like a standard pot with my standard dimensions but the glass call I turned a shallower sound chamber....Here's the slate calls...: Now...Here's the Glass Over Glass call...there is a short story that goes with this wood and this glass...The Wormy Chestnut came from a house in North Carolina...and you can figure it's atleast 100 yrs old...now the glass came from Indian Springs Church that was built in 1896. This blue stained glass is from the original windows that graced the church. This Church became the very first State park in the country!!!...so..I have coupled 100 yr old wood with a 116 yr old pc of glass...and let me tell ya...it does sing!!!! Here's it it..
