Missmvstar
Just wanted to see who was effected by the ice storm ? We lost power on Saturday and feared we would be out for days or weeks. It was weired to see several days of freezing rain and sleet and it look like it snowed at your house. Just wanted to share some pictures and get some feedback from you out there to see if anyone has had any problems from the storm. My husband (Okiedog) said that some people from the forum were worried about us, we appreciate the support from our Real Tree Family. We are ok, but there are still thousands upon thousands in the state who are without power, they have declared most of Oklahoma in a state of Emergency. The ice is taking down trees, power lines and caving in roofs from the weight of the ice. We didnt get any snow believe it or not all the white stuff was accumlated sleet and ice so think it will take days to melt off.

Missmvstar
Re: Ice Storm 2007 Here is another picture! I know this doesnt have anything to do with bowhunting but most of the people that communicate with us are on this forum. We did see lots of deer during this mess, they suffer during this as well , seen 8 last night in the yard eating corn. Here's Okie Dog and our son, he is probably going to be mad I posted this but I thought it was so cute, we all went ridding around after the sleet and ice was done, and our son had to look like his dad going out , notice the hat. He is two and wants to do everything his daddy does.

Washi
Re: Ice Storm 2007 Well, our power was out for a couple hours early Sunday morning. The roof of the local Dollar General collapsed. Not surprisingly there were several car wrecks on the roads. It sounds like about 30 miles Northeast of here it is worse. They are having lots of downed limbs and power outages. Be careful everbody. wtnhunt
Re: Ice Storm 2007 Nice pics. Glad to hear you are ok. Heard on the news this morning about 145 thousand are still without power. Can definitely relate to that, will never forget the ice storm we had here about 7 years or so ago that left us without power for nearly 2 weeks. Jeramie
Re: Ice Storm 2007 Our power went out at midnight on Friday. We got it back yesterday. Mom and dad have been without since friday and wont have power until next week (they live in Rose). I have lost tons of trees from Hack berry, elm, and native pecan. My brother has lost tons of Oaks. Locust Grove (the entire town) was without power for about 2-days. No gas, water, food, etc. Lots of damage our way. We didnt get hardly any sleet. We ended up with the same stuff Muskogee and McAlester got, inches upon inches of freezing rain and ice. My 12 acres is literally a skating rink. Very little grass is even topping the ice. Its just a big rink. I have tons of damage to my place, mainly trees but none the less its there. Ive got weeks and weeks of work ahead of me. Ive got some pics.. Ill get them up later.
