iron buck
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks WOW!........Those are some real brutes. In addition to the impresive racks I love the huge body sizes of Alberta bucks. Some day I hope to actually get up there for a hunt. But is is hard for me to justify $3500 for a whitetail hunt plus travel & expenses. So looks like I am stuck with our American bucks here on the east coast! Guest BCBOY
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks Here's another one that just blows my mind!!! Not much info as it just hit the internet today. One site said 407". Think that could be a typo. Regardless looks like it would at least slide into #2 spot in the Alberta Record Book. Guest BCBOY
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks Yup, it looks like the concenus is that is fake. The first muley looks 100% Muley to me.
Guest DesertTrophyHunts
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks No question about the first mule deer, 100% muley. AWESOME photos! DTH
VermontHunter
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks [ QUOTE ] Fellow B&C measurer advised me that the big mulie is a "fake" built by a taxidermist. Not even from Alberta. [/ QUOTE ] Geesh...Fake ?? Hahaha right ....I'd like to know the name of that fellow B&C measurer and his number so I could talk to him.... The top set of pics are of deer that haven't even been to a Taxadermist yet. And most of them are field shots, why in the world would someone from B&C even make a comment like you stated ?? Guest BCBOY
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks VH, Since the big muley appeared there many that feel this is a repo and some guy has been yanking our chain by doing a photo opt with the repo rack and a bloody cape. Given the weird things that go on on the internet nowdays, that is probably more the truth. I'd love someone to step up and prove that's wrong, but chances are we've all been dupped by another internet hoax.
VermontHunter
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks To me if someone post a pick, and then someone else comes along and calls it a fake atleast back it up with some proof, and not just say I have a friend of a friend that works for so and so and he says it's a fake. Some hunters work hard to get there trophy's and it sucks when someone else gets jealous of their hard work and calls it a fake. I really don't know if they are fake or not, all I know is when someone posts a pic of their trophy or a friends trophy I'll take it to be the truth until proof is presented that proves other wise.... Guest DesertTrophyHunts
Re: Monster Alberta Bucks So I guess it would be safe to assume that you are 100% behind Mitch Rompola? I think that everybody here that has used the word "fake" has also stated that they hope that the deer is real. The shape of the antlers are a bit off but if I killed that particular deer I would expect that anybody that has looked at a ton of mule deer would think the same thing. I think that if it were real we would have seen more than just one pic or would have heard more about it. I am not saying it is real or not but that there are a ton of questions that I look forward to hearing the answers to. DTH

DTH [/ QUOTE ] your assumption would be 100% wrong....all I said before you call a pic. fake atleast give some proof as to why..and not just say it's fake. I for one have never seen a live mulie, let alone dare call one fake or real...when I'm shown a pic I take it to be real until proven otherwise. and from the 25 post on this set of pics I saw only 2 that mentioned anything about a fake. So as far as a consensus goes I don't see one...

I was not aware that there was "proof" that Rompolas buck was fake. If there is please let me know so I can read up on it. Thats dang sure an interesting story no matter how you look at it.
