LifeNRA
Re: Blazer vanes [ QUOTE ] Has anyone tried the blazers with the shrink wrap on them, that you heat up and it sticks to the arrows? If so did it work? Also how do blazers compare to the 2.5" Quick Spins? [/ QUOTE ] I read some bad stories about the shrink wrap kind, but then, I never used them! Something about glueing them on just seems better!

LifeNRA
Re: Blazer vanes [ QUOTE ] Thanks, appreciate the offer! Great looking arrows! Are those wraps? [/ QUOTE ] Yes there wraps, 7". But I cut them in half because I bought a BUNCH of them! The normal length is 4". The supplier I get them from now will cut to any size I want! But that is great customer service! In two days you got your sample pack! Now fletch them up and show us! BTW, I found out that using wraps makes it soooooooo much easier to re-fletch! Because your not glueing the vanes directly to the shaft everytime! Plus I found a good way of re-moving the glue residue from the wraps. Warm water and a SOS pad works great! TreeWalker
BLAZER VANE TIP !!!!!!! HUGE TIP:......I should almost make it a Sticky.....in fact, when i get home from work tongiht, I may take a picture for reference as well.... When buying a new pack of Blazers...take them out of the package and line them up standing on edge........you will notice that many of them will lean to one side or the other, and some will stand straight up.........grab a couple of zip lock bags and label them with the direction, and then put those Blazers that lean the same way in each one of those bags........when fletching, use the same direction on each individual arrow for even more consistant flight..... TreeWalker
Re: BLAZER VANE TIP !!!!!!! [ QUOTE ] Is this from a manufacturing defect or just from being packaged?? [/ QUOTE ] It actually has something to do with the way they are lazer cut..........other manufacturers have similar effects, like Easton........it's not that the average Joe would even notice.......and if it weren't for the bow-heads over at ArcheryTalk.com I would have never known either.......but for that added little bit of extra consistancy, it doedn't take much effort or time to match them up.....
