Re: Senator Obama

Dick Morris, a former democratic and Clinton political advisor, somone who knows the Clintons intimately (along with their whims and secrets) and someone who has come out in opposition to democrats and both Clintons, said tonight on Hannity and Colmes that he gave the democrats a 9 out of 10 chance - and Hillary a 7 out of 10 chance - of winning in 2008.

If a former democrat and Clinton advisor is scared ---

I, now, am too.

The only thing that would hold me back on Barack is his lack of experience. Actually am in the middle of his book, "The Audacity of Hope". Very, very intelligent man with great insight and wonderful views regarding politics. If anyone is close to open minded and would even consider someone who isnt Righty McRepublican you should check it out. He might surprise ya. And I think we should grow up a little and drop the game of making fun of the name. I mean we could do that, I have 8 year old cousins that I enjoy playing with, so sure.

LMBO, oh the irony laugh.gif.

You know, those of us who would give reasons why we would chose not to vote for this man have just as much right to express our opinions as you do.

I personally chose not to vote for those who support legislature to remove our rights as gun owners. Best as I am to understand most liberals in some way support some form of gun control. From what I understand Obama is supportive of gun control.

The sad thing to me is that I don't really think that most democrats do. I think the liberal left is pulling decent democrats with them because if they don't go allong with the radical left they won't get any support themselves for anything they want done.

If you could get hollywoods far left money out of the picture I think there would be a lot more bipartison politics going on.

Kind of a double-oxymoronic statement, I think. First of all, there's no longer any such thing as a "decent democrat". Secondly, as soon as a "decent democrat" allows himself to be pulled along by thre liberal agenda for self-serving (or any other) purposes........he loses his decency. Too many politicians on both sides of the aisle with zero spine.

The "avearge Joe" american citizen who's registered democrat, in no way, has his interests represented by his party's mainstream leadership. He still thinks he's a member of the party of J.F.K. (who would be a Republican in 2007 and a conservative one, at that). Ask "average Joe" democrat how he feels about:

immigration

taxes

abortion

gun control

one-world government

the military

Few, if any of his answers will tow the "party line". Guaranteed. Hey.......if that's what a guy believes in his heart, then fine. Vote democrat, by all means. But if you're daddy told you you were a democrat because his daddy was one, he's one so you is one too............ take a look deep inside your party and yourself. What is trying to pass itself off as the "democrat party" today in 2007 was referred to as Marxism or communism in your ganddaddy's day. Look it up.

Re: Senator Obama

John, I am talking about democrats in public elected positions, most of them are liberals. As for the common person democrat, sure some of them may not be liberal minded like the reps they put into office, but they do still elect those folks into office to support their views.
