Ripper
Re: cougar shot in sask?? I have read a few posts from readers on cats in Ontario. They shot a cougar north of Sudbury a couple of years ago after it had killed several household pets. This cat, like all cougars seen in Ontario were from idiot pet owners that think a small cougar kitten would make a good pet. Once this thing get's over 100 lbs, it becomes a bad idea and they think this cat can now live in the wild so they release it in remote areas. The only thing this cat knows is that it get's it's food from people, so they search out the closest town. There are no wild, native cougars in Ontario. (Sask - sure, Ont - no chance)
Guest andrewsk
Re: cougar shot in sask?? over 10 years ago I had a cougar in my sights when a buddy and I were coyote hunting in the fall near Fort a la Corne east of Prince Albert. We couldn't figure out what it was in some tall grass until it bounded into the bush behind it after we watched for 10 mins or more. We had lots of time to set up the video camera but never did. We still call it the luckiest cat in Saskatchewan.
