Squirrelhunter91
C'mon.. how many other soundgarden and audioslave fans are on here? Listened to Soundgarden on a friends iPod the other day and realized it's been a while since I heard them. I knew they split up awhile ago and pretty much became Audioslave. I just did some diggin around on You Tube and found some vids.. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoBucB9Q3Cw Show Me How to Live by Audioslave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXoDbs51oEk Enjoy! Bond
Re: Soundgarden/Audioslave fans Can't watch it with dial up but if Black Hole Sun is the video I"m thinking of, it's pretty funny. I like both bands but I think Audioslave was better when they were Rage and Soundgarden.

Jeramie
Re: Soundgarden/Audioslave fans [ QUOTE ] I like both bands but I think Audioslave was better when they were Rage and Soundgarden. [/ QUOTE ] I agree 100%. Rage had some good music. I didnt listen to it that much unless I was working out or something of the sort. Chris made Soundgarden with that awesome voice. They tried to Capatilize on that with Audioslave. Its not that its bad music its just not quite as good as the original..... Btw, the only compliation I liked of Chris was the tangle with Pearl Jam. Temple of the Dog had some great songs for their one CD release. Hunger Strike is one of my all time favorite songs.

unioncountyslayer
Re: Soundgarden/Audioslave fans Guess I'm getting old. My favorite is still the Temple of the Dog project with Eddie Vedder lending vocals.

Leo
Re: Soundgarden/Audioslave fans I've been watching the stripped version that bfletch7441 posted the link to of Chris Cornell playing "Black Hole Sun". This an absolutely outstanding acoustic solo effort. Any one who plays acoustic guitar seriously needs to check it out. I never would have suspected that song would lend itself to being played so beautifully on an acoustic. It's quite an impressive tune on it's own without all the bells and whistles of a "metal band song". It stands alone quite impressively in the one guy one guitar format. I also noticed in watching him play he uses a modified tuning on his guitar. It's a simple dropped "D" tuning which is really cool.
