wtnhunt
Finished this one up yesterday. Might still mold a visor over the camera lens before putting it out. Has the universal pix board with trail mode and a sony p41 camera. I am pretty impressed with the pic quality and the trigger speeds so far. Cannot wait to get it out in the woods. Unfortunately the foam was already in my case from pix when my kit arrived here and destroyed it peeling it out, so the inside of the door got a piece of foam backing which luckily I had in the garage from another project. wtnhunt
Re: new homebrew [ QUOTE ] How much did that cost you to build William? It looks great. [/ QUOTE ] Got a total of $240 in this one Steve for everything including shipping charges. Had $150 in the first one I built which was nowhere near as nice a setup as this one. Got a 128 mb card and a 16 mb card with this 4.1 mp camera when I bought it off of ebay. The 16 mb is really about useless though. They are fun to build too. I might build one more if I can find a good enough deal on another camera, that would give me 3 homebrews and the leaf river.
bigmoss
Re: new homebrew William I have 2 more kits coming like that and heard that the foam was already fixed to the cover now, did you try their put it in the freezer trick ? I assume it did not work, which was what I was afraid of ??

The foam tore when I pulled it out, I was in my garage, which was probably just barely above freezing. Cosmetically does not looks so great on the foam part, but not getting any flash bleed which is all I was worried about with the foam. If you have foam adhesive stuck in the case, mineral spirits does a good job of cleaning it up, that was what I used to clean it up.

[/ QUOTE ] i read on there website to put the case in the freezer for an hour and then tak eit out and carefully peel it off with a sharp knife. Looks great also, really makes me want to get started on mine fast.
