buckee
I wonder when someone will come up with a remote storage devise that you can attach nearby to another tree, that would store all your pictures taken with the camera, and not be detected by any would be thieves. At least if someone steals the camera, you might just be lucky enough to have a back-up picture of him. Hey, I'm serious
bigmoss
Re: Stolen Game Cams(idea) I believe Pix Control has a board that works with a cell phone right now, when it takes a picture it is sent over cell phone to your home PC making this a possibility, as the intruder walks up to the cam it will send the pic off if fast enough before they steal or destroy it. dogdoc
Re: Stolen Game Cams(idea) what would be nice is if the cameras had some sort of internal lock with a code number. The code has to be set to the correct sequence to view picture or retrieve pics.

Hey, I'm serious [/ QUOTE ] Steve there are cam setups both homebrew components and commercial units that will send your pics via cell phone to an email address. For someone with the money who wants to catch trespassers or poachers, that type setup would be ideal.

toddyboman
Re: Stolen Game Cams(idea) Steve thats a great idea. There is some camera that send your pics to a website that you can then get. But the price on those is CRAZY!!! [ QUOTE ] what would be nice is if the cameras had some sort of internal lock with a code number. The code has to be set to the correct sequence to view picture or retrieve pics. [/ QUOTE ] As for this option I believe Cuddeback has something like this. I dont think people steal your camera to then use them but they want to destroy the proof of them trespassing. Shaun_300
Re: Stolen Game Cams(idea) I got an idea. Have one of those big nets suspended in the tree above your cam attached to your camera with fishing line. When they go to take it, it releases the net and traps them!
