Jeramie
My brother called me last night. He wanted a new bow for Christmas. He tried a couple on Ebay but lost out. His wife told him to keep his eyes peeled. He went into a pawn shop yesterday that is owned by a friend of ours. Behind the counter he had a brand new Buck Master. He said a guy had brought it in but had ran over his hawk date. He was still hesitant to sale it but said business is business. My brother picked up a 70lb, split limb, decked out (sites, quiver, arrows tipped with Muzzy, limb savers, etc.) for $150. I know the buckmaster is suppose to be a good bow. In fact I almost bought one several years back but settled on a McPherson. It really sounds like some guy bought his bow and decked it out and then had to hawk it for whatever reason. If he went through the trouble of putting limb-savers on he wasn't a total rookie. Everything is suppose to be set up and ready to roll so I'm thinking he got a heck of a deal. He called me to ask all about it and I told him that for $150 he really couldn't go wrong. Other then that I know nothing about the bow. Does anyone have any experience with the Buck Master? Tim (my brother) is also a forum member so I will have him get on and read the replies later...... Thanks in advance, Jeramie
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Buckmasters Bow? yep, like hunter10860 said check it over really good and make sure none of the limbs are cracked, replace the string if it need it, etc... $150 is a pretty good deal if it is all setup already. Jeramie
Re: Buckmasters Bow? I'm not really worried about the condition of the bow. My brother is a hunter and has been easily as long as I have. He knows equipment. Neither of us have ever had any dealings with a Buck Master. We were more curious about the bow itself. Thanks for the input though!
dogdoc
Re: Buckmasters Bow? hard to go wrong for 150 bucks--if he doesn't like it i bet he would be able to get his money back.
huntinsonovagun
Re: Buckmasters Bow? Depending on the accessories, there could be close to $150 just in those!! Doesn't really sound like a bad deal. Just make sure it fits him, nothing more frustrating than trying to shoot a bow that doesn't fit right. Good luck with it!! Kill some biggen's.........
